In connection with a “bold” photoshoot case, Ranveer Singh appears before the Mumbai Police.
In a FIR filed against him for sharing his “nude” images on social media, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh recently taped his testimony before the Mumbai Police on Monday morning.
The Gully Boy star “came before the investigation officer today morning at 7 a.m. and his testimony was recorded within two hours,” a top police officer reportedly told Indian Express.
The policeman said that after receiving a questionnaire, the 37-year-old gave a handwritten statement to the investigating officer.
For the uninitiated, an NGO complained against the actor last month, claiming that he had “hurt the sensibilities of women in general and insulted their modesty through his images.”
The Chembur Police quickly filed a case against the Padmaavat actor based on this complaint under different Indian Penal Code provisions, including 292 (selling of obscene literature, etc.), 293 (sale of obscene materials to young people), and 509 (sale of obscene objects to children).
The actor “may be contacted again, if it’s required,” according to officials, who also noted that the investigation is still ongoing.
