Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s Red Carpet Welcome in Nairobi, Kenya.
After more than a decade Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, is in Kenya, as part of his visit to the African Continent. The visit to Kenya will be followed by his state visits to Uganda and Zimbabwe. Iran is reeling under strict US sanctions reimposed after ex US President Donald Trump ditched a Nuclear Deal in 2018. Iran’s trade with African Continent was estimated to be around USD 2 billion last year. The visit to Africa was preceded by Raisi’s visit to three Latin American countries to shore up it’s economic ties with developing countries to recover from the crippling US sanctions.
