Moeed Yusuf appeals not to politicise National Security Policy

National Security Adviser (NSA) Dr Moeed Yusuf on Saturday appealed not to politicize Pakistan’s first-ever National Security Policy (NSP) but it can be positively criticized.

Talking to senior journalists in Lahore on Saturday, Moeed Yousuf said that National Security Policy is a unanimous policy, it has been prepared in consultation with all stakeholders.

“We are ready for the briefing whenever the parliamentary committee summoned us,” he said and added the parliamentary committee summoned us but not everyone were present. “Any government can review this policy.”

The adviser said that any government can change the spirit of policy, adding that the NSP should not be politicize.

He said Kashmir is an important issue and it cannot be ignored, adding that the border fencing issue with Afghanistan will be resolved through talks, while trade with Afghanistan has improved.
