Musk says the Twitter acquisition should go ahead if confirmation of authentic accounts is provided.

Elon Musk stated that if Twitter could share the mechanism it used to sample 100 accounts and how it certified that the accounts were genuine, his $44 billion proposal to buy the business should proceed on the original terms.

“However, if their SEC filings prove out to be materially inaccurate, then it should not,” Musk tweeted early Saturday. On Thursday, Twitter refuted Musk’s assertions that he was duped into accepting the deal to buy the social media business, calling them “implausible and contrary to fact.” Musk made the charges in a sealed countersuit filed last Friday that was made public on Thursday.
