On her relationship with Salim Khan, Helen speaks.

Before getting married, Helen and Salim Khan had a brief relationship. Recently, she opened up about her relationship in an interview.

She acknowledged in an interview that Salim’s previous wife Salma Khan found their relationship difficult. Salma excelled as a dancer in the 1950s and 1960s.

Salim, a screenwriter, and she fell in love when she was 42 and he was 45. Salim and his family have a good relationship with her. She made a point of emphasising how Salma had to experience a lot as she talked about their relationship.

She discussed it on Arbaaz Khan’s show The Invincibles, saying, “I was really happy to be able to continue dancing (in films) until the age of 42. Many once believed that working in the film industry was not regarded favourably at the time. The heroines essentially took over and began dressing in ways that no heroine would have back then. This much Helen and no more was my destiny.

She responded, “He gave me a role,” when Arbaaz further questioned her about whether this was about the same time that she first met Salim. We grew close; your mother must have experienced a lot at that time. She was lovely. I believe that all of you are connected to me by fate, and I want to thank you all. I have never want to be apart from my family.
