On the first anniversary of Sidhu Moose Wala’s death, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan pays respect to him.
When the first anniversary of Indian rapper Siddhu Moose Wala’s death was coming up, qawwali master Rahat Fateh Ali Khan paid tribute to his memory during a live qawwali show.
Sidhu Moose Wala was a Punjabi rapper who was very famous in India, Canada, and Pakistan. He had a lot of fans in all three countries.
On May 9, it will be one year since a group of attackers in Mansa district shot and killed a popular rapper and congressman.
During his live show, sufi singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan sang the qawwali Akhian Udeek Diyan as a tribute to the late rapper. He did this on the anniversary of his death.
The Same Beef singer was also remembered in his hometown of Jawahar Ke, where his mother Charan Kaur led prayers.
Fans and other members of Congress also said nice things about the singer. Congress posted a special message on Twitter: “UWC (United With Congress) pays tribute to our Congressman, Rockstar, Legend Sidhu Moose Wala on the first anniversary of his death,” adding, “You are missed.”
One devoted fan wrote, “Remembering the Legend, Sidhu Moose Wala. On the date of his death. His songs spoke to our hearts and touched our souls. Gone but never forgotten”
The whole subcontinent was shocked when the singer was killed in broad view. The case hasn’t been solved yet, and Balkaur Singh, Moose Wala’s father, says that the Aam Admi Party-led government in Punjab hasn’t done enough for his son.
