Sooraj Pancholi was found “not guilty” of killing Jiah Khan.

On April 28, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) announced the final decision in the case of Jiah Khan’s suicide. Sooraj Pancholi was found “not guilty” of helping Jiah Khan commit suicide.

After the court stated the final verdict, Jiah’s mother, Rabia Khan, spoke to the media outside of court and asked, “How did my child die?”

Rabia added: “Main ek baat kahungi. Aaj abetment to suicide eradicate hua hai. Lekin, the question mark means, “How did my child die?” So we still don’t know what caused his death.”

She has been saying since the beginning that Jiah’s death was a murder and not a suicide. The media also asked her if she would take the case to the High Court. In answer, she said, “She will.”

Khan was found dead in her Mumbai flat on June 3, 2013. After that, the cops arrested Pancholi based on a 6-page letter that Khan was said to have written. Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code says that he helped someone do something wrong. But later that same year, he was let out on bail.

Pinkvilla says that on April 12, 2023, NDTV reported that Sooraj Pancholi said he was charged in a “false case.”
