Two soldiers and a policeman died in a suicide blast in North Waziristan.

In the Datta Khel area of North Waziristan district on Wednesday, a suicide bomber killed two Pakistan Army troops and a police officer.

The military’s media arm, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said in a press statement that a civilian was also killed by the suicide bomber who was driving a car.

The soldiers who died have been named as Naik Said Ullah Shah, who was 33 and from Charsadda, and Sepoy Jawad Khan, who was from District Haripur and was 31 years old.

Police Constable Hakeem Jan, who was from the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa police department and lived in the North Waziristan area, was also hurt in the attack.

According to a news release from ISPR, the suicide bomber wanted to hit a public gathering and kill a lot of people.

But a big disaster was avoided because the security forces acted quickly and stopped the suspicious vehicle.

The ISPR said that by doing this, these brave men gave up their lives, stopping the bomber from getting to a heavily crowded area and saving many innocent lives.

In the wake of this terrible event, the ISPR has said again that it wants to rid the country of the threat of terrorism.

The military’s media said, “Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies are determined to get rid of the threat of terrorism, and the sacrifices of our brave soldiers and innocent citizens only make us more determined.”

Earlier on Wednesday, an explosion at the Liaquat Checkpost in Datta Khel tehsil of Miran Shah killed at least four other people, including three security officers.

In the past few months, there have been a lot more bombings and terrorist strikes in the country.

On May 19, a bomb went off near Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) leader Amir Sirajul Haq’s car in the Zhob area of Balochistan. Even though the alleged suicide bombing barely missed the JI boss, at least four people were hurt and his car was partly damaged. The attacker’s body, according to the police, was found at the site of the explosion.

At least three people died and five more were hurt when a suspected suicide bomber blew himself up in the town of Miranshah in North Waziristan in December 2022. Sources in the government said that most of the people who died were walking in the area. In addition to searching the area, law officials started looking into what happened. The person thought to be the attacker was on a motorbike. But there were different stories about who the goal was.
