Users of WhatsApp can change their texts.

San Francisco: WhatsApp users can now edit their messages, which has been one of the most-requested tools.

“You can now edit your sent messages on WhatsApp if you make a mistake or just change your mind,” the messaging app owned by Meta Platforms Inc. said in a blog post on Monday.

When the feature goes global in the next few weeks, senders will have 15 minutes after hitting send to change their texts.

You can get to the function by holding down on the message for a while and then picking “Edit” from the drop-down menu. The changed message will have the word “edited” next to it, but it won’t show the edit history.
