Sushant Singh couldn’t comprehend the ‘politics’ of the industry, according to Manoj Bajpayee.

Actor Manoj Bajpayee discussed the effects of nepotism on the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, whom he characterised as a “pure soul,” while promoting his next movie Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai.

Bajpayee spoke highly of Sushant to Aaj Tak, stating, “We really became close, and he had so much love for me.”

The seasoned actor spoke on the politics in Bollywood, saying, “Industry mein politics humesha hota hai (There’s always politics involved in the industry), but it gets dirtier as you climb the ladder of success.”

The 54-year-old Bajpayee discussed nepotism in the business and claimed that anyone who sets their sights too high will encounter opposition from the powerful business moguls.

He desired stardom, but there is too much competition in that field. Anyone who joins the field with the goal of becoming a star will make every effort to achieve that goal. He could not stand the same, though. He was a child at heart, and I’ve come to appreciate that he had a pure soul. He was unable to comprehend the required manipulation.

Fans were devastated when the MS Dhoni: The Untold Story star was discovered dead in his flat on June 14, 2020. The young actor’s tragic passing prompted a significant discussion about nepotism in the Bollywood industry.
