After a Chinese ship sank, 39 people went missing.

Officials in BEIJING say that 39 sailors from China, Indonesia, and the Philippines are lost at sea after their fishing boat sank in the Indian Ocean on Wednesday.

After the Chinese ship Lu Peng Yuan Yu 028 flipped over early Tuesday morning with 17 Chinese, 17 Indonesians, and 5 Filipinos on board, people from all over the world were looking for them.

“Both Chinese and foreign ships have arrived in the area where the accident happened, and search and rescue work is still going on,” said Wang Wenbin, a spokeswoman for China’s foreign ministry, at a press briefing on Wednesday.
