After one season, Netflix ends the show Lockwood & Co.

Per Variety, the mysterious detective show Lockwood & Co. on Netflix was canceled after just one season.

The show was created by Joe Cornish and was based on the same-named young adult books by Jonathan Stroud. It premiered on the platform in January of this year.

In the eight-episode Netflix version, Ruby Stokes played Lucy Carlyle, a teenage ghost hunter with a sad past who joins forces with Anthony Lockwood (Cameron Chapman) and George Karim (Ali Hadji-Heshmati) to form a ghost-busting agency that specializes in dealing with dangerous ghosts.

The story was about the bond between the three awkward teenagers.

In London, among the many corporate, adult-run agencies, there is one that stands out. It is a small startup run by three rebels who are determined to solve a secret that will change the course of history. Lockwood and Co.

The show was one of the most popular of the year, but not famous enough to get a second season.

In a statement, Complete Fiction said that making the show was “one of the most rewarding experiences of our careers.” They thanked Netflix, Stroud, and the show’s cast, crew, and fans, who they called “the Lock Nation,” for helping them bring the books to life and for loving the series.
