Do kids in India learn about Babar Azam?

Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, is a world-class cricket player who has a lot of fans all over the world.

Surprisingly, the name of the best batsman on Pakistan’s national team has been added to one of the course books in India, which is Pakistan’s biggest enemy.

A post on the microblogging site Twitter showed a picture of a book page with pictures and names of famous cricketers like Babar, Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Sachin Tendulkar, Chris Gayle, and others.

Reportedly, the book was part of the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education course, and the question above the pictures was to match the players’ real names with their nicknames.

“Babar Azam was in the ICSE book for India’s eighth grade. “Thank God, Babar Azam is making Pakistan proud even in a rival country,” the user wrote.

The prolific batter has been getting a lot of criticism lately, and one reason is that former speedster Shoaib Akhtar made some harsh comments about Babar’s failure to speak English.

When he talks to the media, Babar has often been criticized for the way he talks. At the same time, his job as captain is also often in danger.

In response to the Tweet, Babar’s fans said that the cricketer’s name being added to course books in India was the best proof that “Babar Azam is a brand.”

Take a look at how people responded:

Babar is the best hitter in ODIs right now. In T20Is, he is fourth in the world, and in Tests, he is fifth.
