Jordan Dominates Pakistan 7-0 in FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers

In a thrilling FIFA World Cup 2026 Round 2 Qualifier match held at the Amman International Stadium, Jordan delivered a resounding 7-0 victory against Pakistan on Wednesday.

The standout performer of the game was Jordanian sensation Musa Al-Taamari, who netted a hat trick with impressive goals in the 15th, 62nd, and 79th minutes, showcasing his exceptional talent on the field.

Jordan’s dominance extended beyond Al-Taamari’s hat trick, with Yazan Al-Naimat calmly converting a penalty in the 28th minute to strengthen Jordan’s lead. Saed Al-Rosan contributed to the scoring spree in the 52nd minute, followed by Ali Olwan’s clinical finish in the 75th minute and Mohammad Abu Zryaq’s goal in the 83rd minute.

The first half hinted at a competitive clash as Pakistan initially put up a strong fight. However, the absence of key defenders Mohammad Fazal and Abdullah Iqbal, due to injury and suspension respectively, weakened Pakistan’s defensive line and contributed to their challenges.

Pakistan’s journey in the qualifiers has been a mixture of highs and lows. While they celebrated a historic 1-0 win against Cambodia last October, their hopes were dampened by a 4-0 defeat to Saudi Arabia in the subsequent round.

In the recent encounter at the Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad, Jordan once again emerged victorious with a 3-0 win over Pakistan. This victory marked Jordan’s return to Pakistani soil for a football match after an 18-year gap.
