Due to a mistake, a Pakistani boxer was forced to miss the Commonwealth Games.

: Pakistani fighter Zohaib Rasheed was forced to miss the Commonwealth Games when the boxing competition’s technical delegates failed to include his name in the competition’s draws.

The issue was initially brought to light when the competition’s draw was announced, and Zohaib’s name was missing from the flyweight division.

When this was brought to the attention of the organising committee, the Pakistan boxing contingent was informed that it was due to a mistake, according to Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) sources.

Despite the fact that the problem was dragged out for three days, the mistake was not remedied, and on the day of the tournament, the organising committee informed the Pakistani management that the boxer could not be accommodated.

“This is incredibly upsetting and disappointing; it’s mental anguish for the player who has been in doubt for three days because of someone else’s fault,” said Col Nasir Tung, PBF secretary.

“They have done wrong to our player, and we will not remain mute on this subject,” he added.

According to the secretary of the boxing federation, Pakistan would not only write to the International Boxing Association (IBA) and the CWG Federation, but will also demand damages from the organisers through the international court of arbitration for sports.
