El Clasico: What to expect and how the teams will line up

Real Madrid and FC Barcelona have been rivals for a long time. On Wednesday, the second leg of their Copa del Rey Clasico semi-final will take place at Camp Nou, with Real Madrid trying to come back from a 1-0 loss.

Carlo Ancelotti, the boss of Los Blancos, said before the game that his team is ready to get back at Barcelona.

The rest of the Whites’ team, except for left back Ferland Mendy, is also eligible.

In March, Eder Militao scored an own goal that gave Barcelona the lead in the first game. Madrid was unable to break through Barcelona’s strong defense.

Ancelotti said, “The idea is not to go crazy to try to score a goal.”

“The idea is to play a full game with and without the ball.

“We won’t lose our minds because you can score in the fifth minute and then give up two goals.”

Recently, the Spanish winners have lost the derby three times in a row.

Ancelotti said, “Barcelona beat us the last three times, so I think it’s our turn to win now.”

“We can’t just look at the results, we have to look at what we did well in the last two games,” he said. “Last time we played at Camp Nou, we were almost able to win.”

Ancelotti said it was hard to choose between his midfielders because Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Aurelien Tchouameni, and Eduardo Camavinga all wanted to play.

“It’s hard to decide who should play,” Ancelotti said.

“Not only today, but every day. The players won’t change their minds, because they want to play from the start. They don’t want to participate.

“It’s hard to pick a team because there are more than 11 people who deserve to play—14 or 15 in total.”

Even though Real Madrid has a small lead, Barcelona’s manager, Xavi, thinks they will win the game.

Xavi said at a news conference on Tuesday, “We have no idea how Madrid plays.” “It won’t be hard for them to win here. They can beat any team, and I don’t remember the last time they lost a two-legged tie.

“It’s pretty fair. They play these kinds of games more often, have more skill, and have made comebacks before. They’re still my favorites.”

Predicted XIs Real Madrid: Courtois, Carvajal, Militao, Alaba, Nacho, Camavinga, Modric, Kroos, Valverde, Vinicius, Benzema.

FC Barcelona: Ter Stegen, Araujo, Kounde, Alonso, Balde, Busquets, Kessie, Roberto, Raphinha, Gavi, Lewandowski.
