Hull City free of transfer restrictions
English Sky Bet Championship (English Football League Championship) team Hull City announced Wednesday that the club is no longer bound by transfer restrictions.
Hull City confirmed that they repaid an English Football League monitored loan and are now free of transfer restrictions.
The loan was taken out at the end of the 2020/21 League One campaign to support the club’s finances which took a hit because of the ban of fans attending matches due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Salaries, transfer fees, and permitted players were restricted as part of the loan deal.
Hull City was acquired on Jan. 19 by Turkish media boss Acun Ilicali.
The club is ranked 19th in the English Championship League standings with 29 points in 27 matches.
