Mohammad Hafeez gets honorary membership in elite club

Mohammad Hafeez, a star all-rounder for Pakistan, was named an Honorary Life Member of the Marylebone Cricket Club on Wednesday. (MCC).

A statement from the club said that about 17 bowlers from all over the world are on the most recent list of people who have been given the honor.

In a tweet, Hafeez thanked the club for recognizing his cricket skills and said he was looking forward to meeting the MCC members.

“I’d like to thank @MCCOfficial from the bottom of my heart for giving me life membership and recognizing my contributions to this beautiful game of cricket.”

“I’m looking forward to making new friends and contributing to MCC,” the former captain said.

Hafeez played for Pakistan nearly 400 times in all three types of international cricket, most often as an opening bat.
