PCB names match officials for the Pak vs. NZ series

Sunday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the match officials for the much-anticipated limited-overs series between Pakistan and New Zealand, which will begin on April 14 in Lahore.

A press statement says that Ali Naqvi and Chris Broad, both of whom have played in Test cricket, will be in charge of the playing control teams during the series.

Aleem Dar, a well-known umpire who just left the ICC Elite Panel, will be in charge of the game.

The PCB said in a press release, “Ali Naqvi will be the match referee for the five T20Is, which will be held in Lahore and Rawalpindi. Ahsan Raza, Aleem Dar, Asif Yaqoob, Faisal Afridi, and Rashid Riaz will be the on-field umpires.”

“Chris Broad, a member of the ICC Elite Panel of Match Referees, will go back to Pakistan for the first time in 14 years to referee the five ODIs that will be played in Rawalpindi and Karachi.

“These five ODIs will be officiated by Ahsan Raza, Aleem Dar, Asif Yaqoob, Faisal Afridi, Langton Rusere, Joel Wilson, and Rashid Riaz.

“Among the umpires who will work in the two series, Ahsan Raza and Joel Wilson are members of the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires, while others are members of the ICC International Panel of Umpires.”
