PSL 2023: Shahid Afridi schools Wasim Akram

Wasim Akram was criticised by former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi after his team, Karachi Kings, lost three games in a row during the eighth season of the PSL, or Pakistan Super League.

Afridi said on a TV show that Akram should do what he is supposed to do and make time for the Kings.

“Wasim bhai should give Karachi Kings time if he is in charge of them. Australia is too far away to be able to lead the team. Giving your time is part of being a professional “He emphasised.

Afridi said that the Kings have a good mix of players, but they need to be more sure of themselves.

“I think Wasim Bhai should be on the team. It’s not fair to join a team that’s already been put together “he added.

Kings also tried a new leader, but that didn’t help, and they lost their first three PSL 8 games. After Babar Azam was traded with Shoaib Malik from Peshawar Zalmi for Shoaib Malik, Imad Wasim became the new captain.

Kings have lost to Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United, and Quetta Gladiators so far. They only stopped losing when they played Lahore Qalandars on Sunday.

Multan Sultans lead points table
On Sunday at the Multan Cricket Stadium, the Multan Sultans beat the Islamabad United team by 52 runs.

United had to get to 138 runs in 17.5 overs to reach their goal of 191 runs.

At one point, Islamabad United was 112-4, but they lost their last six wickets for only 26 runs.

Rassie van der Dussen got the most runs, 49, by hitting five fours and one six in 32 balls.

Abbas Afridi, a fast bowler for Sultans, was the best of their bowlers. He got 4-22 in three overs.
