Quetta Gladiators victorious against Peshawar Zalmi in an exhibition match

The Quetta Gladiators, led by captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, beat the Peshawar Zalmi, led by Babar Azam, in an exhibition game on Sunday in Quetta. They won by three runs.

As Zalmi tried to catch up to 185 runs, the Gladiators held it to 181-7 in 20 overs.

Even though it looked like Zalmi would win after scoring 109 runs in 10 overs with only one wicket at the halfway point, Quetta kept taking wickets at regular intervals to stop their opponent’s progress until the end of the inning.

Mohammad Haris, the opener, played some amazing shots and scored the most runs with 53 in 35 balls.

Shahid Afridi and Babar Azam each got 25 runs, and Babar Azam got 23 runs.

Mohammad Hasnain was the best bowler for Quetta. In four overs, he took three wickets and gave up thirty runs.

Naseem Shah, on the other hand, stopped nine runs in the last over to help his team win.

Earlier, Iftikhar Ahmed hit a very good fifty to help Quetta Gladiators set a target of 185 runs for Peshawar Zalmi in the exhibition match in Quetta on Sunday.

The toss was won by Zalmi’s captain Babar Azam, who chose to bowl first.

Wahab Riaz, a veteran pacer, got Zalmi off to a great start by getting rid of Ahsan Ali and Umar Akmal in the second over. However, Quetta came back in the second half of their innings to put up a good score.

In the last over of Quetta’s innings, Ahmed hit Riaz for six sixes. This made sure that the team ended on a high note. The right-hander was still not out after 50 balls and 94 runs.

Khushdil Shah in the middle order scored 36 runs in 24 balls, and Abdul Wahid Bangalzai at the top of the order scored 28 runs in 19.

Aamir Jamal got rid of Quetta’s captain Sarfaraz Ahmed, who could only score four runs.

Riaz took three wickets but let the other team score 47 runs in his full four overs.
