Salman Khan made a tremendous gesture by waiting in a mall to see Momal Sheikh, according to Javed Sheikh.

Famous veteran actor Javed Sheikh charmed listeners with a touching narrative of an incredible interaction he and his daughter, Momal Sheikh, had with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan a few years ago during a podcast interview with Hafiz Ahmed. Salman makes a special appearance in Om Shanti Om for the song Deewangi Deewangi, and Sheikh was a part of that film.

Sheikh started off by saying that he gets along well with all of the Indian celebrities he has worked with, including Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Shahid Kapoor. “I think as a human – everyone’s given me respect,” the actor said. “I personally think, even though we haven’t interacted much or worked together, but the respect I see in his eyes for me on some occasions – that star is Salman Khan.”

In addition, he recounted, “Once, some of my Pakistani friends dragged me along to a tournament in Dubai where the Indian actors were playing against a team. He arrived where I was seated with my pals in a little gallery. When Salman arrived, he was surrounded by onlookers who were taking his photo. I mimed a welcome as he cast a distant glance at me. He stopped photographing everyone and turned to me, saying hello and asking how I was. He showed great character by making that large of a gesture.

Then Sheikh related another incident. “Once, my daughter and I traveled to London for an awards ceremony. She informed me that Salman was reportedly in London. She requested me to give him a call so we could arrange for her and her pals to meet. I said, “I won’t call him—the question doesn’t arise.” They pushed, but I resisted since that’s not how I roll. After finishing my work there, I have yet to do this with any actors. Everyone has a distinctive style.

Coincidentally, two days later, I was at a mall,” he added. Salman was there, in a store. He greeted me and enquired about my wellbeing. I recalled Momal mentioning him when I was speaking with him. I only queried Salman’s presence for how long. ‘Why?’ he enquired. I mentioned that my daughter and her friends would like to take photos with you. He enquired, “Where are they?” I questioned how long he was there after claiming that they weren’t there. Forget about the time, call them here, he urged. Such a big thing, that.

Sheikh added, “I contacted Momal and stated that everything she’d requested for had happened, adding more details about the situation. Salman is with me; come from wherever you are. She was ecstatic. Salman continued perusing the various shops while they were still traveling there as a way to kill time. It was a very generous act. He had finished his shopping, but he had to keep his word because he had promised.

Sheikh evidently has lingering memories of the touching experience because he appears to value the friendliness and optimism that the Dabangg star exuded.
