When will Shaheen Afridi come back in action?

Pakistani speedster Shaheen Afridi has fully recovered from the ailment that forced him to miss play between November 2022 and now.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Shaheen stated, “I have roughly 55 overs under my belt during training and I’m ready to feature in all forms of cricket.”

The bowler has reassured the public that he is back to bowling as he did before his injury and is prepared to return to action.

As he nurses a knee injury sustained in the T20 World Cup 2022 final against England on November 13, 22-year-old Shaheen is not with the Pakistan side at the present time.

“I found it difficult to take a back seat and watch. I felt it was important to go to the T20 World Cup because my team needed me. The outcome of the T20 World Cup would have been different if I had been running in to bowl at this pace “when asked about his off-field activities, the pacer remarked

The absence of Shaheen during the home season, which featured tours by England and New Zealand, was also a source of disappointment for him.

Having to miss the home series against England and New Zealand really bothered me. With his home audience cheering him on, he remarked, “I wanted to play and assist the team win.”

In the 2018 season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), the tall pacer will captain the Lahore Qalandars, the reigning champions.

From February 13 through March 19, 2023, the PSL will have its eighth season of play.

If Shaheen completes his rehabilitation programme and receives clearance from the medical staff, the fast bowler will be able to return to international cricket.

A recent trend for Shaheen on Twitter is to provide practise videos for his followers to watch.
