Asif Ali isn’t as good as Fakhar Zaman, and Qalandars beat PCB XI in a T10 match.

Fakhar Zaman was better than Asif Ali’s 62 runs as Lahore Qalandars beat PCB XI by 10 wickets in a T10 practice match at Narowal Sports Complex on Sunday.

Fakhar and Tahir Baig got off to a great start as they tried to reach their goal of 120 runs. They scored 50 runs in the first four overs, with Baig doing most of the scoring.

Fakhar also took charge of the situation and attacked Usman Qadir. In the fifth over of the game, Fakhar hit Usman Qadir for three fours in a row.

Fakhar continued to beat up on Qadir in his second over, hitting him for three sixes and getting to his fifty in just 20 balls.

To finish the chase, the left-handed starter hit three sixes in a row in the eighth over and was still unbeaten on 68* after 23 balls. Tahir Baig was also still in the game with 51* after 22 balls.

When PCB XI chose to bat first, Kamran Akmal and Ali Imran got off to a fast start, scoring 29 runs in the first two overs.

Rauf, the captain of the Qalandars, took the first ball of the game and got rid of Ali Imran for 16 (13). This was a much-needed success.

Akmal also left soon after hitting 19 runs off 13 balls. He was caught and bowled by Ahsan Bhatti.

Abid Ali didn’t stick around for long, either, because Tayyab Abbas bowled him for 6 runs.

PCB XI was in trouble at 45-3 after 4.2 overs. Asif Ali and Khushdil Shah put together an important combination, but they couldn’t speed up right away.

The two of them got PCB XI to 73-3 in 8 overs. Then, Asif upped the ante in Haris Rauf’s second over by hitting four sixes in a row against the Qalandars captain.

The hard-hitting hitter wasn’t done yet. In the last over, he hit Hunain Shah for a couple of fours before getting out for 62 (26), which helped PCB XI get a good score of 119-5.
