Babar Azam is going to play in the Lanka Premier League for the Colombo Strikers.

The Lanka Premier League (LPL) team Colombo Strikers has signed Pakistan captain Babar Azam for this year’s event.

Azam was one of the players who were bought outright before the draught on June 11.

From July 30 to August 22, 2019, is when the fourth LPL will take place.

Before the LPL, which is part of the World Test Championship for the next cycle, Pakistan is set to play two Tests in Sri Lanka.

In the second week of August, the Men in Green are also likely to play three ODIs against Afghanistan. So, the Pakistan captain is expected to be able to play in some of the LPL games.

There will be five teams in the event, and it will most likely be held in Hambantota, Colombo, and Kandy.
