Jason Roy said before PSL 8 that this could be our year.

Jason Roy, who is from England and plays for the Quetta Gladiators, said that he hoped this could be the team’s year in the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Players like Wanindu Hasaranga and Martin Guptill were on the team.

The 32-year-old batter said in a video message posted on the Gladiators’ official Twitter account that he is excited to be a part of the team for PSL 2023.

The caption said, “Our Gladiator JasonRoy20 couldn’t be happier to start the #HBLPSL8 with batting master Martyguptill. He is very excited to represent the PurpleForce and get back the glory he has lost.”

The England batter said, “Hello, Quetta fans! Hello to all the Quetta people around the world and to our amazing fan base. Just a quick note to say how excited I am to join the Purple Force. In our warm-up games, we’ve been playing some good cricket, and I can’t wait to get over there.

Roy also talked about joining Quetta and said that their confidence had been boosted by their win over Peshawar Zalmi in an exhibition game on February 5 before the PSL.

“We have put together a great team. I’m happy to be batting first with Martin Guptill and to have Hasaranga on our team. And of course, we can’t forget the talent we have here at home,” said a player who has played in more than 300 T20 games around the world.

He also praised the Gladiators’ coaching staff, which is led by Moin Khan, and he hoped that Quetta would win the PSL this year.

On February 13, the Lahore Qalandars play the Multan Sultans in Multan to start the 8th season of the PSL.

On February 15, Quetta will play its first game against Multan. The game will take place in Multan.
