PSL 2023 gets off the ground with exciting events
Monday night, the Multan Cricket Stadium was the site of the opening ceremony for the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL). The ceremony lit up the city of saints.
Aima Baig sang the National Anthem with a lot of heart at the start of the ceremony, which fans at the stadium and people all over the country watched on TV.

After her, HBL CEO Muhammad Aurangzeb took the stage. He spoke to the cheering crowd and thanked fans for their love and support.
Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee Najam Sethi then took the stage and promised that next year’s tournament games would also be held in Quetta and Peshawar.
Fans were also blown away by what Aima Baig and Sahir Ali Bagga did on stage. Then, the three lead singers of the official PSL 8 anthem gave a performance that got the crowd excited for the game, which starts at 8pm today.
At the end of the ceremony, there was a spectacular show of fireworks.

Najam Sethi promised that next year, PSL games would be played in Peshawar and Quetta.
“Pakistan got a lot of things from the PSL. We can be proud that this has become a well-known brand around the world. This year, both foreign and local players are making their first appearances.”
He also said that the tournament had helped Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Hasan Ali become stars on the national team.
“All the best to those who will win before they do. Let’s get started, “he added.

The CEO of HBL, Muhammad Aurangzeb, hoped that the young players in the tournament would do well. He also told fans in the stadium and around the world to enjoy the tournament.
“The real winner is Pakistan, no matter which team wins,” he said.
