Quetta captain Sarfaraz praises Naseem and Hasnain for their win over Karachi in the PSL 2023.

KARACHI: Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfaraz Ahmed praised his team’s young pacers Mohammad Hasnain and Naseem Shah for saving the game against Karachi Kings on Saturday.

Quetta captain Sarfaraz praises Naseem and Hasnain for their win over Karachi in the PSL 2023.
During a press conference after the game, the captain of Quetta said, “The way Naseem and Hasnain bowled in the 18th and 19th overs deserves credit. We bowled very well in the last five overs to keep them from scoring more.”

Kings needed 37 runs in 18 balls. Shoaib Malik and Irfan Khan, both of whom had played before, were at the crease. The 18th and 19th overs were bowled very well by Naseem and Hasnain, which helped Quetta get their first win of the season.

Hasnain gave up only seven runs in the 19th over, while Naseem gave up six runs in the 18th over. This put the Gladiators back on track to win.

When asked why Quetta’s top order didn’t do well in both games, Sarfaraz said: “The players at the top of our team are known for playing aggressively. We gave them the plan based on what they do well. Everyone here is aware of how Jason Roy played last year. He and others will return in the matches that are coming up.”

Karachi had won the powerplay, but Quetta had lost four wickets during that time.

But the Gladiators beat the Kings by six runs thanks to a hundred by the Kiwi batter Martin Guptill. The Gladiators scored a respectable 168 runs in their 20 overs.

The New Zealand batter’s innings was also praised by the captain, who called it “the best innings of PSL so far.”

Karachi loses its last three games.
The Kings have now lost their first three games in a row. This loss to the Gladiators makes it three in a row.

The Kings were only able to get 162-5 in their 20 overs as they tried to beat 169.

The paperwork Shoaib Malik scored 71 runs in 49 balls and didn’t get out, but he couldn’t help his team win. During his turn at bat, he hit eight fours and one six.

Karachi Kings’ next game is today at their home field, the National Bank Cricket Arena, against their longtime rivals, the Lahore Qalanders.
