Seven bodies were found in the US while looking for two lost teens.

During their search for two lost teens and an adult man, officials in Oklahoma found seven bodies on a rural property east of Henryetta, about 50 miles south of Tulsa.

Okmulgee County Sheriff Eddy Rice told reporters at the scene that “one of the bodies appeared to be that of [the man they were looking for], Jesse McFadden, 39.”

Rice said that the medical examiner’s office would confirm that McFadden and the others were who they said they were.

Monday, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol put out a missing person alert with the names of McFadden and two teenage girls.

The notice said that Ivy Webster, who is 14, and Brittany Brewer, who is 16, were last seen at a house in Henryetta at 1:22 a.m. on Monday. They might have been going with McFadden in his white Chevy Avalanche.

Muskogee County issued a bench warrant for McFadden on Monday because he did not show up in court to answer to charges of child pornography and soliciting sexual behaviour or communication with a minor.

State records show that McDaffen was sent to jail for about 17 years after being found guilty of first-degree rape in 2003.

Okmulgee County Sheriff Rice also said that he thought the police had found everyone who had been reported missing. He refused to say how many of the victims were children, how they died, or how long they had been on the land.

He had “no idea” what caused the deaths. He said it was “a tragic day in Okmulgee County.”

In a statement, a nearby school said that it was “grieving over the tragedy of the loss of several of our students.”

Henryetta Public School said, “Our hearts are hurting, and we have thought about what would be best for our students in the coming days.” They added that classes would continue and grief counsellors would be available.

Gerald Davidson, a spokesman for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, said in a statement that “members of a task force from the local prosecutor’s office visited the property twice on Monday after learning that the teens may have been with someone connected to it.”

He also said that the bodies were found during the second visit, which was at 3 p.m. local time.
